Instructor Bonnie Preziosi

Surf instructor Bonnie Preziosi started surfing in the late 1970s after years of comptititve swimming. She has competed in surfing for the past 10 years and all three of children have been comptitiive surfers. She received her formal NSSIA surf instructor certification in 2006.

According to Bonnie: : "Surfing is so wonderful as exercise and a way to get away from everything. When you are in the ocean, it is so consuming that it frees your mind. It is different everyday with the wind, water, tides and waves. It's a way of life for me and I incorporate it into my work as an artist and into my travels."

Bonnie graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art in 1981, and lives near Assateague Island and Ocean City, MD.
